In a unique fundraising opportunity, we want to let you know that all local Laemmle screenings of The Promise: The Making of ‘Darkness On The Edge of Town’ will benefit the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC)! All screenings will also feature Springsteen merchandise raffles.
The Promise: The Making of Darkness On The Edge of Town combines never-before-seen footage of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band shot between 1976 and 1978 , including home rehearsals and studio sessions with new interviews with Springsteen, E Street Band members, manager Jon Landau, former-manager Mike Appel, and others closely involved in the making of the record. Directed by Grammy- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny, The Promise has received a rapturous critical response around the world, including at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, the BFI London Festival, and International Rome Film Festival.
