In a unique fundraising opportunity, we want to let you know that all local Laemmle screenings of The Promise: The Making of ‘Darkness On The Edge of Town’ will benefit the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC)! All screenings will also feature Springsteen merchandise raffles.
The Promise: The Making of Darkness On The Edge of Town combines never-before-seen footage of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band shot between 1976 and 1978 , including home rehearsals and studio sessions with new interviews with Springsteen, E Street Band members, manager Jon Landau, former-manager Mike Appel, and others closely involved in the making of the record. Directed by Grammy- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny, The Promise has received a rapturous critical response around the world, including at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, the BFI London Festival, and International Rome Film Festival. More info on the film here. And for more on Bruce, visit backstreets.com or brucespringsteen.net.
