LACBC is working to make 4th Street from Hoover Blvd. to La Brea a bicycle blvd., to make it traffic calmed and make it friendlier for bicyclists, pedestrians, children, the elderly and all users.
Recently, Will Campbell took some great photos of the existing conditions and Joe Linton did some really nice drawings to show the possibilities that this street can offer. Take a look and click on the jpg itself to view a larger image.

How is a bike blvd different than a bike route? Isn’t 4th Street already marked as a bike route from La Brea to Western? I ride on it everyday and there are signs that mark it as such.
