APPLICATIONS DUE by February 28, 2008, 9:00 pm
Want to play a bigger part in making L.A. County more bike-friendly? Consider running for the LACBC Board of Directors! The Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition is now seeking nominations from members interested in serving on our Board. Nine (9) seats will be decided this election.

What’s expected of Board members

Read our Board Member Expectations and Board Attributes.

2008 Election Timeline

  • February 28, 7:00 pm: Applications due; Annual LACBC Membership meeting, where candidates will have the opportunity to make a 5-minute presentation.

  • March 5: If there are sufficient candidates to constitute an election, ballots will be emailed or mailed to members.

  • March 25, Noon: Ballots due.

  • March 26, 6:45 pm: First Board meeting with newly elected Directors.

How to Apply

1. To run for a Board seat, you must be a current LACBC member by the application due date, February 28. To join or renew your membership, visit our membership page. If you don’t know the current status of your membership, email monica@labikecoalition.org.

2. Review our Board Member Expectations and Board Attributes.

3. Complete and submit the Board Application. You can submit via email, mail or fax; see application for instructions.
